Don't Eat The Blue Food
This number was inspired by my kids, who seem drawn to the unnaturally blue color of foods containing FD&C Blue Number 1. This food additive, made originally from coal and now from petroleum, has been linked to hyperactivity in children and was banned in many parts of Europe. I believe it! My youngest child gets crazy when she eats a moderate amount of something with Blue No. 1 in it. The stuff makes me feel ill. Don't Eat the Blue Food has been one of my more popular songs, but I find myself trying to avoid playing it if I want the audience to take me seriously. But as you can tell from this recording, when it goes over well, audiences love it. Don't Eat The Blue Food
